The School District of Clay County encompasses a 601 square-mile suburban/rural county in Northeast Florida.

34 public school serve approximately 33,500+ students.  There are currently 22 elementary schools in the district, 5 junior high schools, 1 junior-senior high school, 5 high schools, and 1 alternative learning center.

All Clay County public schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

The average class size in the School District for kindergarten through third grade is 18; and for fourth through eighth, 22.  Secondary school (9-12) teachers have a pupil load of no more than 150.  This is lower than the class sizes recommended by the SACS.
